It was great to see everyone at the Virtual Worlds Conference last week in New York. Thanks to all that came to my Platform Shootout presentation.

This marks the beginning of a new blog I am starting at ESC.

My name is John Swords, but most of the Sheep call me “Swords”. If you are a virtual worlds enthusiast, it’s possible that you know me as my Second Life avatar Johnny Ming.

Virtual worlds and social media are my passions, so this blog will run the gamut of social technologies and my experiences at ESC building relationships with clients and partners. I hope to record some podcasts here, too.

I’ll be heading to the West coast late next week for the Stanford Metaverse Roadmap Workshop, Metaverse U and GDC. It should be an excellent week and I look forward to meeting up with some of you there!
